Editorial Process

Before a provider gets the Verified seal, we manually check three things:

1. Contact: We call the listed phone number and email the listed address and ask them to confirm the business relationship.
2. Address: The business address is cross-referenced with the Zefix commercial register and public map data.
3. Professional licence: For veterinarians and animal healers we check the cantonal Zurich permit lists.

Providers without this seal appear as Listed — the data was gathered from public sources but has not yet been confirmed by the provider.

Spotted a mistake? Thank you for helping keep the directory accurate.

• Report the error via our contact form or by email to kontakt@gelbepfoten.ch.
• We confirm receipt within 2 business days.
• Verifiable corrections (address, opening hours, phone) are applied within 5 business days.
• Contested cases: we contact the provider first and only publish the change after both sides confirm.

We combine several data sources so the directory stays complete and current:

• Zefix — Swiss commercial register for company and legal-form checks.
• OpenStreetMap — for geocoordinates and location verification.
• Canton of Zurich permit lists — for veterinary and animal-health licences.
• Direct provider submissions via our provider form.
• User reports — manual reports from pet owners.

The whole directory is reviewed at least once per quarter; individual entries are updated whenever a provider or user submits a correction.
